The Hanover Appoints Hamann President of Small Commercial
The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc., headquartered in Worcester, Mass., appointed Charles (Chip) F. Hamann to president of small commercial.
Hamann replaces Michael R. Keane, who has taken on a new, important role to focus on the company’s long-term strategy.
Argo Names Chilson President, Argo Surety
Argo Group International Holdings announced Greg Chilson as president of Argo Surety, effective September 1. Chilson has served as a strategic advisor to the business since May.
Chilson will report to Jessica Snyder, president of U.S. Insurance. He joins from from RLI Insurance Company where he led the surety business and held various roles during his 27-year tenure.
This announcement follows the appointment of Rod Williams as head of contract surety and Paul Drakontaidis as the head of commercial surety announced earlier this month. Both will report to Chilson.
Conklin New Ryan Specialty Chief HRO
Michael Conklin has been hired at Ryan Specialty Holdings as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. He will be responsible for the firm’s overall people strategy, compensation and benefits, succession planning, as well as talent acquisition and management.
Conklin most recently served as EVP and chief human resources officer for WSFS Bank. He is succeeding Lisa Paschal, Ryan Specialty’s chief HRO since 2014, who will officially retire on September 1.
