PMI Europe Appoints Giorio New Country Manager for Italy

PMI Mortgage Insurance Company Limited (PMI Europe), the European mortgage insurance and credit enhancement subsidiary of The Calif.-based PMI Group, Inc., announced the appointment of Mr. Andrea Giorio as its new Country Manager for Italy. He will be responsible for growing PMI’s credit enhancement business in Italy.
He takes over from Giuliano Giovannetti, who has been promoted to European Head of Sales and Market Development to lead PMI’s growth across Europe.

“Our Italian branch is experiencing strong growth, and Andrea’s significant expertise in retail banking, combined with his strategy consulting background, will be of great value to our customers,” noted Giovannetti. “We are delighted Andrea has joined PMI.”

Giorio comes to PMI Europe from CartaSi SpA Milano, the market leader in Italy’s credit card business, where he managed client relationships with major Italian banks, as well as banking, corporate, and merchant relationships. He holds a degree in economics from Luiss University in Rome, Italy.
