San Diego, CA, October 19 2015 – Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc. (Arrowhead), one of the largest program administrators in the country, announced today the addition of a new Commercial All Risk property insurance program with offices on both the east and west coasts.

The All Risk Program will incorporate hurricane, tornado, hail and earthquake coverages, which will be available in all 50 states on a non-admitted basis with carrier ratings of A and better. Capitalizing on Arrowhead’s risk expertise, the team has dedicated offices in Atlanta, San Francisco and San Diego.

“We believe there are significant opportunities for Arrowhead in the excess and surplus (E&S) marketplace,” explained Lew DeFuria, president of Arrowhead’s Special Risk Division. “CAT exposed risks require the expertise of veteran specialists with proven track records, relationships, market knowledge and the latest technology in order to navigate the market and capitalize on growth opportunities. Our ability to create significant new capacity utilizing our technology expertise offers creative solutions to clients with complex CAT exposures.”

Caroline Barwick will serve as executive vice president and chief underwriting officer of the new program. With over 20 years experience in E&S property, she brings to Arrowhead extensive experience in managing, developing and underwriting commercial property insurance products and programs. She previously served as senior vice president and western regional manager at Ace Westchester. “I have the highest regard for Lew DeFuria and the Arrowhead team and look forward to leading the All Risk Program and further expanding Arrowhead’s broad product capabilities,” Barwick stated.

Niels Seebeck has also joined the team as senior vice president and production underwriting manager and will be based in the Atlanta office. He brings a diverse background with 12 years in commercial property insurance with underwriting and management roles in insurance and reinsurance operations. He has specific expertise in the E&S property marketplace in underwriting and program development from his roles with Westchester, Munich RE and most recently Guy Carpenter.

Adam Berger joined the team as assistant vice president and production underwriter and will be based in the San Francisco office. Berger brings a unique background with eight years of commercial property insurance experience on both the brokerage and underwriting side. He has a background in both the E&S property and inland marine marketplace from his roles with Westchester, ACE USA and Marsh.

“Caroline, Niels and their new team are an excellent fit for Arrowhead as we look to grow our presence in the U.S. E&S marketplace,” explained DeFuria. “We are committed to the ongoing development of the Arrowhead franchise; building a team with this level of talent and experience is an important step in that process.
