Travelers Expands Product Liability Product to California Life Sciences

Travelers is making its product liability insurance product for life sciences companies to California.

The company’s Travelers Synergy has now rolled out in all 50 states.

Travelers Synergy is designed to protect life sciences companies against product-related claims at any point in the product development life cycle. Core coverage addresses bodily injury and property damage, and it can be supplemented with add-ons.

Add-ons include:

• Errors and omissions liability.
• Product recall expenses.
• Clinical trial medical expenses.

Travelers introduced a broader sales professional liability coverage for life sciences companies whose sales representatives work in operating rooms, procedure rooms or other clinical settings. That product is available under a shared policy limit or separate dedicated limit, the optional endorsement covers bodily injury or property damage arising from a sales representative’s actions.
