People Moves: Wong Named WCIRB Chief Information Officer
The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California promoted Christopher Wong to chief information officer.
Wong succeeds Eric Riley, who will retire on November 30, following a 39-year career with the WCIRB. Riley held a variety of leadership roles spanning customer operations, service delivery and technology.
Wong has more than 20 years of information technology leadership experience across the startup, retail and insurance industries. He joined the WCIRB in 2013 as director of IT infrastructure and operations and in 2023 was promoted to managing director of IT architecture, data management and security, overseeing core business applications, enterprise data, infrastructure and security.
The WCIRB is based in San Francisco, California.
