People Moves: Washington Insurance Commissioner Kuderer Adds to Executive Staff
Washington State Insurance Commissioner Patty Kuderer made six additions to her executive team.
Kuderer was sworn in as the state’s ninth insurance commissioner on January 15. She replaces Washington Commissioner of Insurance Mike Kreidler, the nation’s longest serving insurance commissioner. Kreidler, a Democrat who first took office in 2001, announced in 2023 he was not running for re-election.
New staff members joining the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner include:
- Andrew Davis, deputy commissioner for consumer protection
- Tanya Lavoy, deputy commissioner for public affairs
- Larry Robinette, tribal liaison
- Tom Zuvela, chief financial officer
- Sam Gutierrez, external communications manager
- Alissa Julius, executive assistant to the commissioner
