People Moves: Pinnacol Names Johnson Chief Human Resources Officer; CIBA CEO Marino Stepping Down with Rheel Named New CEO
Pinnacol Assurance named Timothy A. Johnson chief human resources officer and vice president of employee services. He replaces Barbara Brannen, who is retiring.
Johnson has 30 years of global human resources experience. Most recently, he was in the food industry, and he has in senior leadership roles in companies including PepsiCo, AutoNation, and Dell Inc.
Pinnacol is a Colorado-based workers’ compensation insurer.
Michael Marino, who has been leading CIBA as its CEO since its inception in 1993, is stepping down and will continue as chairman of the board.
Bob Rheel has been named the new CEO.
Rheel started his association with CIBA in 2018 as a consultant and has been a CIBA board member since 2019. He has 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, including various executive management and leadership roles.
