People Moves: Topa in California Names Torio Director of Tech, Resilience Names Reed EVP

Topa Insurance Co. has named Paul Torio director of technology.

Torio is responsible for developing and delivering solutions across Topa’s technology infrastructure in support of business goals.

He has worked at Topa for more than 15 years. Most recently, he led and delivered a technology foundation transformation in the areas of integration, rating, and document generation. Previous titles include senior software engineer and solution architect.

Topa Insurance Co. is the largest of the wholly owned subsidiaries of Topa Insurance Group, an insurance holding company based in Calabasas, Calif. Topa provides insurance products through the wholesale markets.

Resilience Cyber Insurance Solutions has named Gavin Reed executive vice president based in Los Angeles, Calif.

Reed has nearly 20 years of underwriting experience, most recently as assistant vice president of specialty underwriting at CNA Insurance.

Reed spent 10 years in the London market in various broking and underwriting roles across all financial lines. He began his insurance career at Marsh as a broker before joining Hiscox and then CNA in London.
