Icy Roads Caused Dozens of Crashes in Utah
Icy roads caused multiple crashes and temporary highway closures in Utah on Monday, officials reported.
There were at least 84 crashes statewide Monday morning since midnight, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Most were in northern Utah.
I-15 and U.S. Highway 6 experienced temporary closures early Monday, and traffic remained delayed after I-15 reopened along the Wasatch Front.
The Little Cottonwood Canyon road to two ski resorts also was briefly closed for avalanche control on Monday morning, which was a holiday and traditionally a busy ski day.
