Lawsuit in Montana Rafting Death Finally Settled
A wrongful death lawsuit filed against a Montana whitewater rafting company has been settled out of court.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reported that the suit was settled mid-trial last week for an undisclosed amount.
In 2015, Brian Niedermeyer died on a whitewater rafting trip on the Gallatin River, prompting his wife, Angela Niedermeyer, to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the guiding company, Geyser Whitewater Expeditions.
The suit alleged that the company’s “careless and negligent operation of the rafting trip” was the cause of his death. The company denied it was careless and negligent.
