Fired Utah Special Ed Teacher Files $1.7M Lawsuit
A former special education teacher in Utah wants $1.7 million in damages from the school district that she says fired her over complaints she made about another instructor.
The Spectrum reported Carol Boehme said in her lawsuit filed last week that her son, who has Down syndrome, experienced mistreatment at the hands of special education teacher Bethanne Jackman.
Boehme says when she complained, she was fired from Washington County School District where she’d worked for over two decades.
Boehm declined to comment.
