‘Pull Aside, Stay Alive,’ Says Arizona Campaign
Arizona officials are launching a new public-education campaign on highway safety, using a recent dust-related fatal crash to promote the message of “pull aside, stay alive.”
The Department of Transportation says the new campaign is keyed to the approaching summer monsoon season.
It uses video and audio from the recent accident on Interstate 10 between Phoenix and Tucson to convey the message that drivers shouldn’t try to drive through dust storms.
Partners in the campaign include the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the National Weather Service.
