Montana Condo Accessibility Suit Settled
A developer and construction company have agreed to make changes to a Bozeman, Mont. condominium following a federal lawsuit about handicap accessibility.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports in a story on Sunday that Saddle View Properties and Yellowstone Heritage Construction have agreed to bring the Overlook Condominiums into compliance by June 30.
U.S. District Court Judge Sam Haddon dismissed the case on Dec. 18 after the settlement was reached.
The group said the condominiums didn’t have at least one accessible building entrance or an accessible route to the units.
The lawsuit also said the common-use portions of the units didn’t meet accessibility requirements.
