Bond Set At $1M Following Idaho Man’s 7th DUI Charge

March 28, 2013

A south-central Idaho man with six previous convictions for driving under the influence has been charged with a seventh after police say he attempted to elude officers before crashing into a power pole.

The Times-News reported that bond was set at $1 million Monday in 5th District Court for 51-year-old Mark Wayne Cornelison of Twin Falls.

Twin Falls County Deputy Prosecutor Jethelyn Harrington says Cornelison was found guilty of driving under the influence in Gooding County in 1996, and in Twin Falls County in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2007.

The last two convictions were felonies, as is the current charge.

Twin Falls County Magistrate Judge Thomas Kershaw says he’s never set a bond at $1 million but says he didn’t want Cornelison to get out of jail.
