Lawsuit Filed Over Skier Death At Colorado Resort
The wife of a skier killed in an avalanche at the Winter Park ski resort is suing Intrawest, the ski area’s operator.
The Grand County coroner said 28-year-old Christopher Norris of Evergreen died of asphyxiation after he was caught in a small avalanche at the resort in January.
Resort officials say his body was found in a wooded area on Mary Jane Mountain after he failed to meet up with his companions.
An attorney for the family says the ski resort is responsible for making sure its runs are safe.
Intrawest declined to comment.
