Woman Sues Couple, Aspen Skiing Co. Over Dog Bite
An Aspen woman is suing Aspen Skiing Co. and a New York couple after she was bitten by a dog at the base of Aspen Mountain in Colorado in September.
Beth Fischer filed her lawsuit Monday in Pitkin County District Court. Her attorney told The Aspen Times that Fischer’s medical bills have exceeded $200,000.
The lawsuit names Aspen Skiing Co.; New York art gallery owner Stuart Parr; his girlfriend, Allison Sarofim; and Parr’s daughter. It alleges all knew the couple’s dog was vicious before it bit Fischer while Fischer was walking.
Aspen Skiing Co. declined to comment Tuesday. Parr and Sarofim have unlisted phone numbers and couldn’t be reached for comment.
