San Bernardino County Settles Motorcycle Claim for $3 Million
San Bernardino County has agreed to pay $3 million to settle a lawsuit that blamed dangerous road conditions for a motorcycle crash that left a passenger with head and neck injuries.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported on the agreement in the case in which Lisa Hermann sued the county after a 2007 crash on the Kelso-Cima Road near the Nevada border.
County spokesman David Wert said recent heavy rains had washed out part of the road, leaving a trench, and the accident occurred before crews were able to make repairs.
