Oregon Producer License Application Processing Delayed

April 23, 2010

Oregon’s Insurance Division announced there will be a delay in processing producer license applications due to a delay in resident fingerprint processing.

“We have been notified that the FBI will not be processing non-criminal fingerprints from April 28, 2010 through May 3, 2010, because of a U.S. Census Bureau project that requires immediate attention. The delay will create an estimated two-week backlog once the FBI resumes normal fingerprint processing on May 4, 2010,” Jim Thompson, producer licensing manager, said in a statement.

People who submit license applications to the Insurance Division during the April 28 through May 3 time will be affected by the delay of several weeks, because the DOI cannot issue exam eligibility notices until fingerprints are processed. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
