Heffernan Insurance Brokers Adds McCaffery as Assistant VP

Heffernan Insurance Brokers has hired Janine McCaffery as assistant vice president, commercial producer in its Palo Alto, Calif., office. McCaffery will expand Heffernan’s large commercial real estate and construction insurance practice in Northern California.

McCaffery has 20 years of title insurance experience and is recognized as an exceptional business leader in the region because of her multiple business and civic service efforts. In California, she serves as a board member of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association and the Redwood City/San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce. She founded and continues to lead the Peninsula Investment Forum Meeting and also participates in the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks, the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers, Commercial Real Estate Women, and the Urban Land Institute. McCaffery was recognized as the 2007 Business Woman of the Year by the Redwood City/San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to joining Heffernan, McCaffery was a construction and real estate insurance sales associate with Wells Fargo Insurance, formerly ABD, in Redwood City, and an assistant vice president for the National Commercial Services Division of First American Title Insurance Co. She began her career in real estate sales at the age of 18.
