Allstate Opens Offices Across the West
Independent agents in the West may soon see more competition. Allstate Insurance Co. announced it is expanding its presence in the West, by opening 10 offices in Nevada, 10 offices in New Mexico, 20 offices in Arizona and 15 offices in Utah.
The company said it is launching a recruitment campaign to attract successful, self-motivated entrepreneurs to serve as exclusive agents.
“The economic downturn is fueling business professionals from all career levels to seek out second career choices,” said Gerald Salas, human resources manager. Persons who don’t have an insurance background will receive training to help them “hit the ground running,” he said.
Agents will sell the company’s range of insurance and financial products, including auto, property and financial services.
Allstate said its agency expansion plan is part of an overall growth strategy that calls for growing the provider’s auto and property insurance presence and staking a stronger claim in financial services.
