Yates & Associates Names New Business P&C Underwriter/Broker

Yates & Associates of Tustin, Calif., announced that Denise Plecas will be joining the underwriting department as underwriter/broker – new business P&C.

Starting as a receptionist at Hull & Co. in 2001, Plecas has worked her way from the bottom up. With less than a year as a receptionist, she was promoted to policy technician and after another year, promoted again as assistant underwriter/assistant account executive, a position she held for three years. When she left, she moved over to Brown & Brown, where she spent three years as senior assistant account executive for the underwriting department. She has earned her certificate of general insurance and her AIS designation from the IEA Institute of Insurance in Brea, Calif.
