Western Insurance Agents Association Installs Officers

The Western Insurance Agents Association confirmed its board members and officers for the 2008-2009 term. The Board officers were officially installed at the group’s annual member meeting held earlier this month at the WIAA offices.

Officers include: Chairman Kathy McDonald of Watkin Insurance Group LLC in Henderson, Nev.; Chairman-Elect Phil Hakopian of Cornerstone Commercial and Personal Insurance Services of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Vice Chairman Neal Stanley of United Valley Insurance Services Inc. in Fresno, Calif.; Secretary/Treasurer
Carol Connors of Ck Specialty Insurance Association Inc. in Morgan Hill, Calif.; and Immediate Past Chairman Michael Golden of Imhoff Sunland Insurance in Fresno.

Directors include: Richard Franko of Citywide Insurance Services in Phoenix; Jack Galloway of Barney & Barney in San Diego; Steve Harrington of Harrington Insurance in San Jose, Calif.; and Tony Napoli of Napoli Insurance in Mission Hills, Calif.

Directors-at-large include: Jeff Barnett of Mackie Insurance Brokerage of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; Marty Fox of Clovis Insurance Services of Clovis, Calif.; and Tom Powell of Cal-Valley Insurance Services in Fresno

WIAA’s Ken Nigohosian will work hand-in-hand with the board as chief operating officer. He joined WIAA in September 2006 as executive vice president.

WIAA offers membership to agents and brokers in California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico and continues to serve the needs of insurance professionals.
