Arthur J. Gallagher Acquires Calif. Benefits Broker BIS

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired BIS Insurance Services Inc. located in Sacramento, Calif. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1979, BIS Insurance Services is an employee benefits insurance broker for northern California. The firm specializes in medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance programs, investment planning, and employee benefit consultative services.

Dale Waters and his associates will continue to operate in their current location under the direction of Norbert Chung, executive vice president for the western region of Gallagher Benefit Services Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is headquartered in Itasca, Ill.
