Baldwin Resource Group Names Gano President
Bellevue, Wash.-based Baldwin Resource Group has named Mike Gano president. He is the first outsider to serve as president since the company was founded by Bill Baldwin in 1998. Baldwin had served as president, chairman and chief executive officer. He will continue to serve as chairman and CEO. Baldwin and the BRG board decided recently that the company had evolved to a point where an outside president should be hired to run the daily operations of the business.
Gano has held leadership positions with other national and regional brokerage firms during the last 25 years and is expected to provide leadership and focus to the company as it looks to accelerate its growth strategy.
Gano started his insurance career 25 years ago with Fred S. James and Co. which later became Sedgwick Inc., in Portland, Ore. He later took over as head of Willis of Portland, before joining Willis of Seattle, Inc. He most recently held the position of president with Kibble & Prentice in Seattle.
