Nonprofits’ Insurance Alliance of California Offers New D&O Product

Effective Jan. 1, 2006, the Nonprofits’ Insurance Alliance of California (NIAC) and Alliance of Nonprofits for Insurance, Risk Retention Group (ANI-RRG) will offer a new D&O Product for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.

Designed for nonprofits with zero employees, the product provides D&O protection for nonprofit board members and the organization, but excludes coverage for any employment related actions. The flat rate for the product is $600 for limits of $1 million. New and renewal business with no employees are eligible.

NIAC, rated A.M. Best “A” provides liability insurance to 501(c)(3) nonprofits in California, and ANI-RRG, rated A.M. Best “A-” provides the same coverages to nonprofits outside California in 18 states plus the District of Columbia. Combined, the two companies insure more than 6500 nonprofits.
