KEMPES Claim Director to Speak at ABA Conference

Janice Stein, KEMPES’ claim director, will be a panelist addressing “Sued Lawyers — Our Valued Clients or Our Neglected Constituency?” at the American Bar Association’s National Legal Malpractice Conference, Sept. 12-14, 2001 in La Jolla, Calif.

The panel will talk about the pros and cons of being defended by their professional liability insurers. They will present from their prospective the professional, personal and financial impact of a malpractice suit, and compare and contrast that perspective with that of the insurer and the defense attorney.

Stein handles high exposure legal malpractice claims, and also oversees high value claims on all KEMPES professional liability programs, which currently include programs for lawyers, title agents, directors and officers, union officials and health and human services professionals.
