The St. Paul Lends Its Support to PGA TOUR’s West Coast Swing

The St. Paul Companies and the PGA TOUR announced an agreement under which The St. Paul will be the presenting sponsor of the 2001 PGA TOUR West Coast Swing. In addition to on-site tournament branding and hospitality, The St. Paul will promote the PGA TOUR through a series of print advertisements in select business publications and commercials on cable and network television. They are responsible for sponsoring the first nine tournaments. Tiger Woods has won the last two PGA TOUR West Coast Swing titles. Phil Mickelson won the inaugural title in 1998. Based in Ponte Vedra, Fla., the PGA TOUR is a tax-exempt membership organization of professional golfers. Headquartered in Saint Paul, Minn., the St. Paul is considered the leader in providing property-liability coverage for golf facilities through its Eagle 3 program.

Since 1988, Eagle 3 has insured the PGA TOUR’s Tournament Players Clubs throughout the country. The St. Paul has also insured PGA TOUR tournaments under its tournament liability insurance program.
