American Agents Alliance to Hold Compliance Meeting
The American Agents Alliance announced that on Nov. 28, Santa Ana, Calif., local meeting chairperson Maria Palmer will host a meeting on mandatory enforcement featuring guests from the California Department of Motor Vehicles and the Santa Ana Police Department.
The Alliance maintains that the passage of legislation mandating proof of insurance when stopped by police and at vehicle registration, in which its members played a large role, was a major step toward eradicating uninsured motorists. The organization also supports the recent implementation of low cost auto insurance programs in Los Angeles and San Francisco counties.
However, Alliance representatives said that concerns over reports of spotty enforcement in the courts and by police has kept its fight for mandatory enforcement ongoing. The dinner, sponsored by American Driving Records, will be held at Mimi’s Cafe, 17th and the 55 freeway in Santa Ana. For further information, contact Maria at maruchi911@aol.com.
