People Moves: New Faces, New Roles at Neptune Flood and Alliant

Neptune Flood, one of the largest writers of private flood insurance, named four people to executive-level positions at the St. Petersburg-based company.

Matt Duffy was elevated from managing director to president. Alais Griffin is the new general counsel. Tom Wexler was named chief engineer, and Brad Schulz, the chief technology officer, was made chief information security officer, Neptune said in a news release.

Duffy will take on new responsibilities, overseeing the company’s strategic initiatives, partnerships and day-to-day operations. He has played a key role in growing the company’s market reach and enhancing its AI-driven underwriting platform, the company said.

Trevor Burgess, who remains CEO, said that under Duffy’s leadership, Neptune has seen $300 million in premium and more than 230,000 policies in force.

In North Carolina, Alliant Insurance Services announced John Smith as the new assistant vice president in its employee benefits group.

Smith, with 20 years in the wholesale and retail benefits business, will work with clients in the Southeast, Alliant said in a statement.
