People: Florida-Based Security First Elevates Two to Key Roles
Security First Insurance, one of the larger carriers in Florida, with 136,500 policies in force, has elevated two people to key positions.
Scot Moore was named chief financial officer, the insurer said in an announcement Monday. Moore has 20 years’ experience in the industry, including budget development, investment portfolio management and audits. He joined Security First in 2022 as chief accounting officer and has been instrumental in modernizing the firm’s financial operations, President Melissa Burt DeVriese said in a statement.
Lloyd Stofko is the new chief reinsurance officer. He joined Security First in 2020 as vice president of ceded reinsurance. Before that, he spent 25 years at Guy Carpenter as a reinsurance broker.
Stofko has helped Security First strengthen its reinsurance strategy in a tough market, CEO Locke Burt said.
