Update: Citizens Resumes Binding as Rafael Turns Away From Florida

Florida’s Citizens Property Insurance Corp. has lifted its suspension on binding of policies as Hurricane Rafael turned away from Florida and was tracking toward Mexico and was expected to weaken.
Citizens, the largest property insurer in the state, ended the suspension as of 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7.
“All regular Citizens business operations have resumed,” the bulletin reads.
The National Hurricane Center indicated that the storm, a rare November tempest and the 17th named storm this season, could bring some wind and high surf to the Louisiana coast by late Friday, and to the Texas coastline by Saturday.
