Liberty Co. Names Allen, Hayes to Leadership Positions
The Liberty Co., a rapidly expanding insurance brokerage based in Gainesville, Florida, has named two insurance industry veterans to executive positions.
Bill Allen, who was previously executive vice president at Hays Companies, now part of the large Brown & Brown brokerage, will be president of middle markets property and casualty at Liberty, the company said in a news release. Allen also was a regional chief financial officer and operating officer for Sedgwick, the claims management firm.
The move signals Liberty’s renewed focus on middle markets around the country.
Also, Tom Hayes, formerly national sales leader for employee benefits at the McGriff brokerage, where he oversaw “remarkable” growth in five years, will be executive vice president of national sales and growth for employee benefits.
Hayes has more than 30 years in the insurance industry, including time at Rebsamen Insurance, an agency in Arkansas, Liberty said.
