Home Warranty Subsidiary Re-brands, Expands with Insurance Offerings

A Florida-based company has changed its name and added a team of specialists to offer risk management services to home builders.

Maverick, formerly the Bonded Builders division of Centricity, providing home warranties, now wants to offer a portfolio of warranty and insurance products, the St. Petersburg-based company said in a news release.

The company has brought onboard the commercial builder team from its sister company, Bankers Insurance Services. It plans to make its products available directly to builders and through insurance agents.

Maverick, like Centricity, is a subsidiary of Bankers Financial Corp., a holding company. Maverick was founded more than three decades ago by the Home Builders Association.
