Insurors of Tennessee Appoints Representative Ron Travis as CEO
Insurors of Tennessee has named Representative Ron Travis as the new CEO for the organization, effective Nov. 16, 2020.
Travis (R-Dayton) is a state representative for District 31 (Bledsoe, Rhea, Sequatchie and part of Roane Counties) and has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. He will lead staff efforts for the trade association, which represents independent insurance agents across the state, and becomes the ninth executive in the association’s 127-year history.
Travis was elected to the Tennessee House of Representatives in 2012 and has served on multiple committees – including chairman of the Tennessee Insurance and Banking Committee and the Fiscal Review Committee.
Travis previously owned six locations of Nationwide Insurance agencies in East Tennessee. He was involved in multiple mergers and acquisitions in the industry and has sales, operations and agency management experience to bring to his new role.
Insurors of Tennessee is a trade association that was founded in 1893 and currently represents almost 500 independent insurance agencies in Tennessee. Its members offer consumers a “Trusted Choice” of insurance companies, advocacy and professional advice for all their insurance needs.
