AssuredPartners Acquires The Elan Group of Florida

AssuredPartners, Inc. has acquired The Elan Group of Tampa, Fla., an employee benefits firm specializing in the design, enrollment and service of employee benefits plans.

The company’s staff of 21 will remain under the leadership of CEO Ross Hays and President Duffy Thaxton. The agency currently reports $6 million in annualized revenue.

Thaxton said aligning with AssuredPartners will help the company continue to grow.

Headquartered in Lake Mary, Fla., AssuredPartners, Inc. acquires and invests in insurance brokerage businesses (property and casualty, employee benefits, surety and MGU’s) across the United States and in London. Since 2011, AssuredPartners has acquired more than 195 insurance agencies.
