3.0 Earthquake Hits Western Alabama
No injuries are being reported following a small earthquake in Alabama’s Tuscaloosa County.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 3.0 earthquake occurred around 4 a.m. Friday about halfway between Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.
The epicenter appears to have been between the Kellerman and the North Johns communities.
The quake occurred east of another area where a cluster of earthquakes has occurred since late 2014 in Greene County.
