Wholesaler Socius Names Dross as Vice President in Florida

Socius Insurance Services Inc., a management liability and property/casualty insurance wholesaler, announced it has hired Matt Dross as vice president, Property /Casualty Practice. Dross will be based in Tampa, Florida.

Dross has been an account executive and a broker in the St. Petersburg, Florida area for 10 years, servicing the Southeast. He specializes in the placement of transactional middle market property accounts. At Socius he will work to expand the firm’s property/casualty business in the Southeast.

Derick Stitik, senior vice president of Socius, said this is the first of a series of hires that will bolster the firm’s P/C practice.

Socius is based in San Francisco, with regional offices in Los Angeles; Elgin, Ill; Birmingham, Ala., and Tampa and Miami, Fla.
