Allstate Looking for 50 New Agency Owners in Florida
Allstate Insurance said it is ramping up its recruiting in Florida again and is looking for more than 50 new agency owners.
“We see a significant opportunity in the current job climate to attract well capitalized mid-career, mid-level managers to own and operate their own business and represent Allstate in Florida,” said Bob Jackson, Allstate’s Florida regional sales leader.
Allstate has been trying to add new agencies in the state for several years. Last May it set out to hire two dozen new agency owners and and before that in April, 2011, it launched a campaign to find 50 new agency owners.
The company estimates that adding 50 agents could create more than 150 new jobs in Florida.
The company is paying a $5,000 referral bonus to people who refer candidates.
Allstate agents operate as independent contractors selling Allstate policies. Candidates need to have $50,000 to $75,000 in liquid capital.
