Brown & Brown CEO Returns After Leave of Absence
J. Powell Brown, president and CEO, and a director of Brown & Brown Inc. has returned from a temporary leave of absence for health reasons, the company has told the Securities and Exchange Commission.
J. Powell Brown’s leave of absence was previously disclosed in a filing with the SEC on Jan. 30, 2012 by the Florida-based insurance agency.
The company said Brown has resumed his full duties and responsibilities.
J. Hyatt Brown, who assumed J. Powell Brown’s duties and responsibilities during the latter’s absence, will continue as the chairman of the company’s board of directors.
