Kentucky Police Suspect Two Fires Are Arson
A pair of fires that happened within minutes of each other may be arson and a southern Kentucky fire chief believes they may also be connected.
Russellville Police Department Chief Barry Dill told the Bowling Green Daily News that detectives have interviewed a person of interest in connection with fires that occurred early Aug. 7 at a metal storage warehouse at Bethel Shopping Center and at the old Winston Funeral Home building.
Dill says the state Fire Marshal’s Office is involved in the investigation, but detectives don’t have enough information to charge anyone yet.
The two fires happened in the early morning hours of Aug. 7, when the Russellville Fire Department first responded to a fire at the warehouse, then went to the old funeral home about 30 minutes later.
