Florida Has New Agency: VanDyke Norman Opens for Business
VanDyke Norman Insurance began operations on Nov. 17 in St. Augustine, Florida.
The newly created insurance agency is led by Kevin VanDyke and Andy Norman. VanDyke was formerly the president of Skinner Nurseries of Jacksonville, while Norman was a producer with Thompson Baker Agency of St. Augustine.
VanDyke Norman Insurance will focus on the property and casualty markets for Northeast Florida. The agency will target commercial accounts and maintain a separate personal lines department to service homeowners business. The agency is interested in coastal and inland property markets, commercial fleet, workers compensation, crop insurance and professional liability.
“The current insurance market is soft and that provides a new company such as ours an advantage to compete with the established agencies,” said Norman.
“Over the past 14 years I have had the opportunity to purchase millions of dollars of insurance and deal with significant risk management issues faced by manufacturers, wholesale distributors and contractors. I am looking forward to using my perspective as a customer to connect with our clients and ensure that their risk management results are achieved,” said VanDyke.
