Industrial Accident in Tennessee Claims Life at Construction Site
Tennessee officials say a construction worker fell to his death at an Embassy Suites construction site in Murfreesboro.
Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services spokesman Randy White says the incident happened around noon on April 26, and has been deemed an “industrial accident.”
The victim’s name was not being released until the worker’s next of kin was notified, and authorities did not release any additional details about the incident.
A representative from the construction company, Flintco Inc., could not immediately be reached.
Construction on the 283-room hotel and 80,000-square-foot conference center started in December 2006. The hotel is scheduled to open Sept. 15.
The hotel and conference center is owned by John Q. Hammons and managed by Springfield, Mo.-based John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts.
