Former Volunteer Firefighter Charged with More Tennessee Arsons
A former Tennessee volunteer firefighter who was free on bond after being charged with arson has been charged with setting two more fires.
Authorities say 24-year-old Michael Wayne Stricklan was arrested Wednesday night for setting two house fires in Rockwood. No one was injured in the blazes.
Firefighters say Stricklan’s wife, 23-year-old Crystal M. Stricklan, has been charged with assault and disorderly conduct for interfering with authorities who were arresting her husband.
Stricklan is a former firefighter with the Piney Grove Volunteer Fire Department in Rhea County.
He had already been charged with arson for a 2003 house fire and was free on bond.
