North Carolina Big ‘I’ Names Gastineau ‘Agent of the Year’
John Gastineau was named the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina’s “Agent of the Year,” during IIANC’s Oct. 9 to 12 annual conference in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The annual award recognizes the North Carolina agent who has demonstrated commitment and performance for his/her agency, association, industry, community and family.
Gastineau, chairman of the Insurance Advisory Committee of IIANC, has held a number of insurance industry posts. He has served on numerous IIANC committees and has been instrumental in the direction of the association. A veteran of the insurance industry, Gastineau is currently an owner of Providence Insurance Agency in Raleigh.
“Being involved with IIANC has provided me with incredible opportunities and invaluable professional development,” Gastineau said in his acceptance speech. “The other agents have been supportive, encouraging and just plain fun to work with. I leave every IIANC event feeling like I am ready to take on the world.”
