New Hampshire Insurance Requests Rate Hike In South Florida
New Hampshire Insurance Co. has asked state insurance regulators for permission to increase rates for its homeowner and condominium policies.
Should state regulators give approval, the company’s premiums for single-family homes will rise by a statewide average of 23.3 percent, and condo owners’ rates would increase by a statewide average of 10.6 percent.
State records show New Hampshire Insurance has more than 1,700 policies in Broward County, and more than 2,300 in Palm Beach County.
