Georgia Assoc. Welcomes NAMIC
The Georgia Association of Property/Casualty Insurance Companies
(GAPCIC) has announced that its Board of Directors has approved the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) to become its newest member.
“GAPCIC is very pleased to welcome NAMIC as its first associate member,” said Doyle Kelly, GAPCIC president, who is also president of CNL/Insurance America of Macon, Ga. “Our organizations have similar philosophies and our mutual interests make this partnership a
natural fit.”
“NAMIC has a strong reputation on federal and regulatory issues, and our collaboration with them on state issues in Georgia will, no doubt, benefit both of our memberships,” Kelly added.
Roger Schmelzer, NAMIC senior vice president of State and Regulatory Affairs, said his organization was equally pleased about its new affiliation with GAPCIC.
“Like GAPCIC, NAMIC believes open and competitive markets are the best means for providing affordable, high-quality insurance products to consumers,” Schmelzer added. “NAMIC and our
member companies are very excited about this mutually beneficial membership.”
