American Sports Development Changes Management, Focus
American Sports Development Group Inc. of Greenville, S.C. announced that effective immediately, Matt Brown, a 25-year veteran of the “Extreme Sports,” and insurance industry replaces William R. Fairbanks as the chairman and CEO of American Sports Development Group Inc. In addition, Brown will direct the lucrative “Extreme Event Insurance” division.
The company said as a result of the explosive worldwide growth and dynamic media presence of the Extreme Sports Industry, it plans to focus its efforts on this underexploited corporate resource.
Some of the events that American Sports Development will be working on are NBA Playoffs, PGA tournaments, City Marathons, etc.
American Sports Development also announced that John Pope will replace Douglas Brown as vice president, and secretary of the company. Pope has also been in the Extreme Sports industry for more than 17 years.
President and CEO Matt Brown stated: “The Extreme Event Insurance division of American Sports Development Group has almost always been a steady profit center, and with the dynamic growth that we are seeing in the amount of Extreme Sports event worldwide, I believe that as a company, we can grow this division exponentially in a very short period of time, by implementing my aggressive growth strategies.
“Shareholder value is a primary concern of the new management team. By focusing our attention on profitable, growth-oriented areas, where we will have a unique presence, we feel that our shareholders will be pleased with the new direction we have decided to take American Sports Development Group.”
