Nabers Resigns from ProAssurance Board
ProAssurance Corporation of Birmingham Ala., announced that Drayton Nabers, Jr. will resign from the company’s Board of Directors on December 31, 2002. Nabers is resigning to become the Finance Director for the State of Alabama in January 2003, in the administration of Governor-elect Bob Riley.
ProAssurance Chairman A. Derrill Crowe, M.D. said he regrets Nabers’ decision to leave the Board, but added that ProAssurance’s loss will be Alabama’s gain. “Drayton Nabers has been an invaluable member of our Board, and we’ll miss his insight and experience. Drayton has always paid more than his share of civic rent and he’ll play a vital role as Alabama addresses its financial problems in the coming year,” Crowe said.
