Alabama to Hold Jan. Workers’ Comp Hearing
The Alabama Department of Insurance announced it will hold a public hearing on Jan. 14, 2003, to consider the proposed loss costs and rating values for the workers compensation voluntary market and the assigned risk rates and rating values as filed and requested by the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI).
The NCCI filing proposes an overall average decrease of 7.4 percent in voluntary loss costs and an overall average change of zero percent in assigned risk rates and rating values, applicable to new and renewal business only.
The hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Alabama Insurance Department, Conference Room, 17th Floor, RSA Tower, 201 Monroe Street, Montgomery, Ala.
Interested parties may submit a written statement in favor or against the proposed change in rates and may also make an oral statement at the hearing.
