Brown & Brown Acquires John Manner Agency

Florida-based insurance holding company Brown & Brown Inc. has acquired the John Manner Insurance Agency Inc., of Joliet, Ill.

Brown & Brown said the John Manner Insurance Agency, with annualized revenues of approximately $4.2 million, is a full-service property and casualty insurance agency that has served the commercial, employee benefits and personal insurance needs of the residents and businesses of the greater Joliet area, and throughout Illinois, for over 30 years. Agency president John T. Manner and his staff will continue to serve their customers from their current location, as a freestanding Brown & Brown operation.

The acquisition is part of Brown & Brown’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence in the Midwest.
